Please review the terms that govern your use of our services.
Last Updated: March 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website artcmr.com and the on-site computer repair and IT services provided by ART Computer Maintenance and Repair ("ART Computer," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Vacaville, California. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or requesting our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or services.
2. Services
ART Computer provides mobile, on-site computer repair and IT services to residential and commercial customers. Our services include, but are not limited to, computer repair, virus removal, data recovery, networking, cybersecurity, managed IT services, and IT consulting.
All services are performed on-site at the customer's location. We are a mobile service provider and do not operate a retail storefront. Service availability may vary by location and is generally limited to Solano County, Napa County, and surrounding areas in California.
3. Scheduling and Cancellation
Service appointments are scheduled by phone or through our online contact form. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred date and time.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling (707) 587-2007. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a service call fee at our discretion.
4. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes for services are provided over the phone based on the information you provide about your issue. While we strive to give accurate estimates, the final cost may differ if the actual scope of work differs from the initial description.
If additional work is needed beyond the original quote, we will inform you and obtain your approval before proceeding. You will never be charged for work you did not authorize.
5. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, checks, and major credit/debit cards.
For managed IT and recurring service agreements, payment terms will be outlined in a separate service agreement.
6. No Fix, No Fee Policy
ART Computer operates under a No Fix, No Fee policy for standard repair services. This means that if we are unable to resolve the issue you contacted us about, you will not be charged a repair fee.
The No Fix, No Fee policy applies to the specific problem described when the service was requested. It does not apply to:
- Diagnostic or assessment fees where explicitly quoted in advance
- Services where parts have been ordered or installed at your request
- Data recovery services where recovery is attempted but the storage media is physically damaged beyond repair
- Situations where a fix is available but the customer declines the recommended solution
- Managed IT, consulting, or recurring service agreements
7. Warranty
We stand behind our work. Repair services include a limited warranty on the labor performed. The warranty period and terms will be communicated at the time of service. Hardware parts, if supplied, are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty does not cover issues caused by new viruses or malware infections, physical damage, power surges, software installations by the customer, or modifications made after our service.
8. Limitation of Liability
ART Computer will exercise reasonable care when servicing your equipment. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services
- Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
- We are not responsible for pre-existing hardware or software issues not related to the service performed
- We strongly recommend that customers back up all data before any service is performed. While we take precautions to protect your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss during repairs
9. Customer Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to:
